Gary DuBreuil

May 7, 1941 – September 1, 2021
In Ottawa from complications of Parkinson’s. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna (nee Thomas).

Gary was co-founder of the Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre (OCWC), an organization that would not likely have come about without his hard work and commitment. Gary’s dry sense of humour, kind heart and generous spirit will be missed.

Loved by nieces Marilyn Monette (Denis) of Ottawa, Elaine Gray (Tom) of Virginia, cousin-in-law of the late Lowell Thomas (Nancy) of Ottawa and special friend to Kate MacNeil (Chad) of Carleton Place and Edith Moore and Audrey Starkes of Ottawa.

We are indebted to the Valley Stream Retirement Home, the Champlain LHIN and Carefor for the exceptional support they provided Gary, greatly adding to the quality of his life.

We are  grateful to the Palliative Care team of Dr. Bhimji, Dr. Bruni and Nurse Cathy as well as Dr. Rashidi and the nurses in the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital.

If you wish, you can share a memory  at: remembering.ca
or make a donation to the Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre in Gary’s name through Canada Helps.
